There’s power in fun, encouragement, support—and in a twice-monthly event we call “van wash day.”

At Accutherm Refrigeration, we work hard at what we do. It takes serious commitment to be the best commercial refrigeration company in the industry. And it requires an appreciation for our field team—our front line, or “tech geeks.” Accutherm technicians are people who use their gifts to reliably and efficiently build, diagnose, and repair cooling systems. We often find them fresh out of tech schools and junior colleges in Orange County, California. Techs we hire demonstrate a love for problem-solving and service. They receive ongoing training, and the best usually stay with us for their entire commercial refrigeration career.

Since calling on our supermarket customers is how they flex their skills and do good, Accutherm technicians tend to live on the road. As a result, they can feel isolated from the home office.  

One fun way we unite the whole Accutherm team is van wash day. “Van wash” is a chance to see co-workers, wash and stock vans, and address office matters in person. Another perk? Everyone gets a fresh, hot breakfast that lets us all break bread together to kick off the gathering.

Van wash days may not be glamorous, but they bring smiles and laughter. Soap and suds, coffee and good food, conversations and connection . . . We’ve found there’s no better way to hang with people who are on the same mission as you and have your back every day.
